Well I'm the agent on my own policy and I had to call an underwriter to accurately figure out how to rate my vehicle so I wouldn't get a nice suprise later on when my premium increased. They base it currently off the MSRP. I was told that the performance factor shouldn't influence the rate too significantly, they are more concerned with how much the vehicle costs.
