ahhh, im so upset. car got keyed yesterday....all down the passenger side of the car, one big long, deep gouge. i have no clue why or who did it....i have nobody whos out to get me, havent pissed anyone off at all.....

at least my insurance will cover it, but im still out $500 for the deductable.


does my whole side of the car have to get repainted or do they have more efficient methods of repairing the damage? ive never been keyed so i have no clue.

i live in houston. i'll try to post some pics.

the key mark is pretty deep in some areas...i'd say down to the metal.

man, i wish i knew who did this..... i'm dumbfounded as to why. i have no enemies that i can think of. sooooo depressing.

Sorry it happened. Such a ridiculous thing for someone to do. Happened to my last car. There is no fix other than a repaint of the entire side as they will have to blend everything. Don't wait too long either because rust will just make the situation worse.

 

I got keyed last week. Its about the worst thing that can happen ever.

 

People do it out of jealousy, etc. They may have no link to you at all. These days people's personal belongings, especially cars, seem to be fair game when it comes to vandalism and destruction of property. I'm sorry to hear it. She'll be good as new soon.

 

Sorry to hear that Beancounter. That's exactly why I have $100 deductible for comprehensive. That really SUCKS!

 

thanks alot fellas, i know you're feelin my pain.

the car was parked in my parking garage at work. they have 14 different cameras in the parking garage, and it just so happens i was parked in one of 5 spaces that the cameras can't see. can you believe that?!!? hahahahaha, what rotten luck.

luckily insurance will cover everything, but im still out $500

im taking it in today to get an estimate. i know infiniti gives free loaners for life.....i wonder if that includes the times when im bringing it in for body work. hmmmm
