I'm thinking of black or the ivory pearl. im 16 im getting my g37 in April. Probably the Journey with everything except the Technology package which i think is of no use for me. Thinking of getting tints the fisrt day too. Any percentage suggestions!

i would get another color. black would be hard to maintain and too many people has white. go with something different, i say vibrant red. for the tints, first time driver, i say 35% would be good or just wait till you can drive well, then get some tints later.

16 and getting a G37.. POLL how many of you wreaked your first car?

Yep... Get a used car preferably a sedan and one with a single front seat with a pull down arm rest (do they still make these) trust me you'll like this better then the G and it will have more leg room for the friends you'll no doubt be carting around.

Unless you can replace that G like a good pair of sneakers I'd wait for after college before you get a nice car. You won't be able to do much parting in the G or if you do your friends will no doubt destroy it. Invest your money and you'll be able to get the fusion powerd G when your out of school. Good luck Mr. Phelps.

Get something easy to maintain and something taht wont show everything. school parking lots are scary places. Personally i would get like an integra until your done with school then get teh G or something better for graduation. But then having a G at school would be pretty hot??

but i did total the first car i was allowed to drive and it had less HP, it was a bmw 740 (not mine dads but still sucked)

They shouldn't get you one at all.

But since they are, go with IP.

Regardless of how well off my parents were, they would have never given me a brand new, high HP car as soon as I got my license. I'll never do it for my kids either because a new driver is just not responsible or experienced enough to have a car like a G37.

That being said, had my parents had offered me a brand new car at 16, I would have certainly taken it!! Would have surely wrecked it or got myself into trouble too. Fortunately they didn't give me that option.

But hey, if they're offering, take it. Just be careful.

thnx alot for ur advice guys. i dnt think any of you would turn down the offer to get a g37 at 16. I went to see the Ivory Pearl today and i think its a really nice color. I'm not spoilt and i agree having it at school will be hot (and i will get some pleasure out of showing it off to all the kids with 3.28i's.) lol. :]]. I really wont be drivng my friends around in this car. My friend has a Altima coupe fully loaded and only drives 2 friends maz and that has kep his car in pretty good condition. i'll take some pointers from him.

Tough choice between Ivory Pearl or Black Obsidian... Personally, I went with BO, but either is HOT.

For color I'd go with one of the greys, black takes a lot of work to maintain and grey hides wear better and you will be in a war zone more often then not. I'd also get a car cover and about 8 body pillows to stuff it with.

Actually if I were 16 now I'd go with a RV. You may have other friends that will get a Lux coupe or sports car but not one of them will have the wisdom to get an RV..lol. Just imagine how cool that would be at 16. See at 16 the car is also your first appartment with privacy and an RV is the max in luxury mobile appartments. While the rest of them will be putting up with Mom yelling to turn the music down or cramps in the back seat doing ah whatever, you'll be living high and standing out in the crowd long after the ews and awes have faded on the sport car owners.

You could have a few of them over in the school parking lot for lunch, just fire up the stove, bust open the fridge and catch up on Sat TV.
And for date night... man guys would be lining up to borrow your car, that includes the other guys with sport cars. Hum possible entrepreneurial opportunity here. You can get a used Airstream for around 45K. We'll that's what I would do any way. I came close though, had a Chevy Van 20 with dual batteries, stove, fridge, pop up top, running water, benches with table that converted to a queen size bed and killer stereo. Called it the Luv Shack, you'd be surprised at how many girls would rather ride in a van with other girls and guys vs a sports car with one guy
