car looked me out of gear in AUTO!

WOW this was weird i was driving at 130mph and the was a bump in the road. I have the g37s with paddle shifters, and i was in DS mode changing the gears with the paddles. When i was driving spirited at 130mph the car hit a bump in the road the car got air born i up shiffted at once, waitnig for the land with the foot of the gas. Once i land the car fish tailed only a bit i was not on the gas so the car did not loose traction, it was a hard land. once that happend the car took me out of DS mode made my paddle shiffters not to work. It dd not matter if i put the shiffter in the DS mode it was going to still be in D the paddles would not work. i freaked out cuz i tought my car had suffer a hard landing, but igot to the light turned the car off and turned it back on and all was working perfect.

before you burn me because they way i drive think as i am just trying to give technical data about the car.

It's an idiot-proofing feature on the car. If you "got airborne" at 130 MPH, the shifting issues are the least of your problems.

You actually caught so much air that you had time to think and then react to shift and let out of the throttle before landing?

it was not long time it was a fraction of a second i did not think i just did it. Shiffting is hitting a paddle that i had my fingers on it. and letting of the gas anybody would have done it. yes it was stupid very stupid but thats not the point. just to tell people if the car hits hard the ground the tranny would go to the"idiot-proofing feature" in the car!

I hope that was on a track. Otherwise you are an idiot. Its people like you that cause me to pay more for insurance. No one cares that you did 130 in your car so save everyone the time and don't bother to post next time.

Black Betty, you of all people should know how this happens. It is very similar to "bullet time" as used in the Matrix.

Just out of curiosity, how old are you g37smike. Also, did you buy the car yourself or was it a gift from someone like your parents. I'm not trying to be condescending, I'm just wondering.
