Interesting comments I agree about Apple and those wanna monopolize and suck you into Apple lifestyle tactics. Those guys dream of gettin us to eat, $hit, and pis$ Apple.

About Google & Ads forget about it. They hate ads as much as we do. When a service is FREE like GMAIL it needs some ads. I mean you get GIGs of storage whaddya expect. But if Google designed the OS for Nav I would have a lotta faith in them. They actually try to make thigns simple and if Infiniti contracted them to do so it would of course be ad-free.

I realize that your post wasnt all that serious but being a big Google fan I had to give them a plug! .....

That is so crazy that a Honda Civic's navi beats the other top ranked luxury cars like BMW, Mercedes, Audi.....you would think that buying a luxury vehicle would have everything in the interior to be in the top of the line

If it was designed by Microsoft you would have different pricing levels of the NAV system.

Nav Basic Edition - 2 dimensional maps, no real time traffic, no touchscreen, no voice recognition
Nav Premium Edition - no touchscreen and no voice recognition
Nav Ultimate Edition - Full Functionality

Lol, I am not knocking BMW at all. But in this case, I will shamelessly argue that our navi is definitely better.

How do you think Google earns revenue?

^^Obviously Google gets revenue from ads, but DetroitG37Joe acknowledged that already. For any thing free (search engine, email etc.) there are ads to pay for it. But if Infiniti paid Google money to design it, than it would probably be ad free since they are getting the money from Infiniti instead of from another source (ads.)

Simply put, to state that Google hates ads implies that one does not understand their business model.

But all in good sarcasm, I thought it was a good one on Google and Apple.

Based on the commercial, Microsoft's SYNC looks rather impressive.

2 cents. The menu structure is not intuitive, but it is not so difficult that it can't be learned. Once learned it is perfectly usable. Once you are on a conversant level you will find it likeable.
My only complaint (and this is because I live in a small town) is that the nav dosen't have a great depth of data so dosen't know many of the streets. I have a hand-held Garmin 350 NUVI that knows about 99% of the streets in my town and announces them while approaching. If you live in the city, no problem.
