Just Got Back From Preview

Hey guys i went to infiniti of manhattan to check out the g37. I was very very impressed. They had black on black g37S fully loaded. I wish i had a camera i totally forgot..i was reminding my self all day but i forgot when i left my house. The black on black was impressive i wish the had an white on black which are my 2 choices. I think i might go with the IP on blck the OB had many finger prints on it and it would be a bitcchh to keep clean...

ANY WAYS MY OPINION LOOKS GREAT IN PERSON..BETTER THAN IN PICS.

HOPEFULLY GRABBING ONE SOON.

I completely agree .... saw the black one today also & there isn't a pic on the planet that can do it justice. I'm waiting to see an IP. Front looks great in person & the tail is not as bad as I thought it would be. This one is gonna grow on people. Not has to .... IS

24 hours? Screw it, I say he's voted off the island right now! No pictures...pffft. That's unacceptable.

I'm just a little bitter because I wasn't able to go to the launch party tonight.

I just saw the G37s tonight at a preview at Infiniti of Thousand Oaks (SoCal). It was a class affair with a jazz combo, wine, hors d'oeuvres, and of course a single black coupe in the showroom. I was impressed with the car as it seemed very substantial (more so than the BMW coupe) and looked larger than I expected. Fit and finish was very nice and the interior was excellent.

In terms of exterior appearance, I have sort of the opposite take from most folks. I love the rear, very much like the side view (especially from the side mirror back) but, to me, the front seems too short and stubby. I don't particularly care for a straight on front view, but a 3/4 view from the front looks better. The wheels and tires are outrageous.

I am looking forward to driving one once the demos come in.

Just got back from the premiere of the G37 Coupe from the local dealership here. It was really nice. I got a free Infiniti thermal mug, a nicely weighted Infiniti key chain with a fake diamond on it, an Infiniti pen, and some brochures. The food was awesome as usual, I especially enjoy the strawberry/rasberry mini fruit tart, the triangular spinich cheese thingie and the apple cider. I basicly had dinner at the dealership.

Still, the most amazing thing in the whole premiere was the masterpiece - A laser scripted ice sculpture with Infiniti logo on it. The thing must have been 3 ft tall and 3 ft wide. It's the first time I've seen anything like it. When the evening sun hits the ice carving it's just amazing to look at. I've attached some pictures of the ice sculpture. Trust me, this thing looks way better in person, it reflects the sun light like a crystal prism. I was told the ice sculpture was carved by a high power laser that created the frosted zone inside the ice block at precised depth and temperature.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot the tandori chicken with the sweet and sour dip - I must had half a dozen of those. Great stuff.

btw: I'll post pictures of the Infiniti mug and keychain later.
