Rich leather-appointed seats provide outstanding support and automatically adjust to your preferred settings.* Magnesium paddle shifters let you keep your hands firmly on the wheel.* A touch-screen hard-drive navigation system with XM NavTraffic®* provides real-time traffic information.** In short, the more time you spend inside the G Coupe, the more you'll see that it's a vehicle poised to set a new benchmark in its class – as a recent cover of[b] Motor Trend magazine declare,"The King is Dead! How Infiniti's G37 beat BMW's 335i Coupe"† A limited number of G Coupes are available for pre-order.
I love how they throw out that they are better than the 335i. I dont kno if i could still see that bc 335i plan sports coupe, infiniti isnt..

when i attended a special "best of boston" even a few weeks back infiniti had printed excerpts from that "king is dead" MT article which were laying next to the g37 on display. They're proud of it.. and should be since they are clearly focusing on the 335i.

Thats my point.. I kno motortrend stated it but INFINITI is ADVERTISING IT!!

Being the underdog, you are going to see this more and more from Infiniti. Now all they need is a cohesive brand image portrayed throught their advertising campaign. Right now, I'm not sure what that is.

If these media outlets are going to hand you great fodder for advertisement and glowing compliments on your products, take it and run.

I remember the new '99 Acura TL we bought for my wife won "Canadian Auto Journalists Car of The Year". Acura had discreet stickers with this claim on the rear windows. We just left them on.

Just like reviews for restaurants, many food critics will rate some restaurant as the best cuisine in the city. The restaurant may therefore advertise that so-and-so food critic made that claim to give a boost in reputation, yet the restaurant themselves are not making the claim that they themselves are the best in the city. See where I'm getting at?
Exactly, that's smart advertising. Of course a car manufacturer will always say it's products are the best, but if you can prove that a supposed neutral third party supports your product as well then you got something. BMW is just as guilty of this as well, when I was looking at the 335i the salesman handed me a color copy of the MT article where the BMW 328i beats out the new 07 G35 sedan, and you bet he used every opportunity to beat that into our conversations.

They even advertised the M45 as the best in its class by some car magazine on TV recently if my memory serves correct. By doing this type of advertising, Infiniti is not making the claim themselves, but they're pointing out that so-and-so magazine/publisher or whatever is making that claim.

will the G37 be at the top of its class. I really cant find a difference between the 335i and the G37. Both perform great, but i heard the G37 handles better and some magazines say that the new G coupe has more comfort and more technology than the 335i. Is it possible that the new G37 is the ultimate driving machine.

Hence, the double quotation marks and that cross symbol at the end as reference/citation. By quoting a third party, Infiniti isn't making the claim, but is rather suggesting the claim was made by someone else.
