My review of G37 black ext. with grey leather

A fully loaded one is in the showroom at Austin Infiniti.

Front: some like the sport bumper, some don't. Personally i thought it was ok but no biggie either way. Lines on hood are more pronounced, again no biggie.

Rear: i dislike the wide rear in general and specifically the rear lights are horrid! You can't see in pics that well, but in person they are huge, wrap around and up the side: just plain ugly. Spoiler is better than 06/07 spoiler, but i like the 03-05 spoiler much, much better.

19" Wheels : love them! beautiful looks though cast instead of forged like the current 19"s.

Brakes: never noticed in pics before, but the bleed screws are on the outside instead of inside. this will make for the easiest brake bleeding jobs ever (no need to jack the car up or remove the wheel, etc).

Inside: yep, less headroom all round especially in the rear seats (and less legroom back there too). the seat extension thing is interesting. i like how it felt when i extended it (1 inch and 2 inch extension). However, the lever to adjust it is plastic and the entire assembly is cheap in design. there is no-way this part is going to last the owner folks as i have no doubt it will break (not just the handle i mean the entire thing). interior in general is slightly nicer than 05-07, but not by much. yes 05-08 interiors are much nicer than 03-04 interiors.

IMHO you've got it pegged wrong. The '05-'07 interiors are slightly nicer than the '03 & '04 but not by much and the '08 & '07 sedan interior are much nicer
So much so there isn't really any comparison between the first and second generation.

The thigh extension is a great comfort addition and I love it in my Sedan. Yes, the lever is a hard plastic, but why are you convinced it will break so easily? It takes next no effort use it and it's out of the way so nothing will be hitting it. I haven't heard of one single 07 Sedan owner complaining about the thigh extension.

I thought I read somewhere that the 08 Coupe had more head room?

The front headroom is basically identical.

G35 Coupe:
Front Headroom-39.2 (without sunroof) 37.9 (with sunroof)
Rear Headroom-37.9

G37 Coupe:
Front Headroom-39.4 (without sunroof) 37.7 (with sunroof)
Rear Headroom-34.5

while the headroom appears the same, there is more observed headroom. the stock seats lowest travel position is certainly lower than the G35c's lowest travel position. i am 6'2" and fit with a good 4" of clearance in the new G37.

Thanks, that is good to know. We are the same height so it is good to know that I will have enough more headroom in the G37, even though I had enough when I sat in a G35.

I thought so, I was excited about that detail when I read it somewhere. I am only six foot, but I always drive with the inside roof open because a lot of my height is in my torso, not my legs.

The '03-'05 rear spoiler is horrid. Completely destroys the wonderful rear lines of the original coupe.

After reading about the headroom I went down to have a look, being 6'6" I got my 05 coupe base w/o sunroof to fit, its definately appearent that the 08 seat sits lower and I ALMOST fit in it with the sunroof. I think w/o sunroof there is easily an extra inch compared to the 05.

Sucks that I would still have to go base model, as there is no sunroof delete option. The dealer did say that Infiniti may move to a BMW'esque model of pick and choose options, alebit not until 2010.
