Hill Assist?
Hill Assist?
Does anyone know if the 6MT will have a hill-hold or hill-assist feature. I've driven in current model VWs and BMWs and where I live it really saves your butt and really takes the stress level down a notch. I know I should be good enough not to worry about rolling back, but still it's a neat little feature I'm wondering if Infiniti has picked up on?
WTF? Hill Assist?
I award this the biggest nancy post I've seen on this board. Do you guys know how to drive?
Honestly, the G37 is going to be a good mix of a drivers car, luxury, and style. 'Hill assist' sounds like something you'd see on a non-drivers car like a lexus or mercury. I don't see how you can appreciate the sportyness of this car when you want it to drive itself.

Might as well make it a full automatic. In my opinion, a manual transmission should be just that... manual. "Hill Assist" sounds too... uhhh.
When you fully learn how to drive an MT, you will not worry about any hill, no matter how steep it is. If its insanely steep, like almost 90 degrees steep
... use the hand-brake method..

I actually think it'll be a nice feature.
I've been stuck (not in the G) in traffic on a particular HUGE hill near Sunset Blvd on La Cienega and I must say I did put some strain on the e-brake and the clutch lol
