Thanks for the post. One question- why is the G37 lowered in the side by side photo?

Awesome job on the comparative photos. The photos make it easier to see the evolution of the car!!

From a side profile, the 37 is definitely more muscular. From the front end, the 37 is more muscular. From the rear end, the 35 just looks more well proportioned, and everything flows very well. With a nice classy subtle wing to cover the chrome trunk lid, the G37 will be the overall better looking car. When its all said and done, the G37 will by far the superior car.

Far superior?
Anyone with a G35C would be a fool to trade it for a G37C, IMHO... A relatively small amount of dollars spent on Mods can make a G35C far superior to what it started out as. To each his own; I hope sales do well for Infiniti, but I wont be buying an 08 G37C for sure; maybe if they make some changes in later years or maybe the next generation or the GT-R when it arrives.

Nice write up man, good evaluation!! I agree that the G37 front and side looks more muscular and that the G35 back is a little more proportioned. I think that is due to them adding some muscle to the back end. Still love the G37 and think it is going to be an awesome machine.

While I still think the G35 design is an absolute classic, I beginning to accept the g37 as a positive refreshing look..

you are right the g35 coupe is classic design..the g37 is looking good
but have to see it in person to make the final dision

Yeah, the g35 still looks better IMO. Who wants to be the first to swap motors with the g37?

The changed the steering and made it alot better according to first reviews. What mod are you planning to change that on your 1st gen? The interior on the G37 is 1000x nicer than the G35's. Which mod were you planning for that? The G37's chasis has greater torsional rigidity. The 6-speed is revised and smoother (according to initial trst drives). What were you planning on doing to your G35 to get that?

Adding a few HP to your 1st gen will not make it the same as the new car. There's a lot more to this redesign. Just drive an 07 sedan (like I did) and it makes my 04 coupe 6mt feel like a sh*tbox.

G35c owner a fool to trade in for 37?
I can understand not wanting to, maybe, but a fool to do so? That's a stretch, buddy. But whatever makes you sleep better at night...

And youd buy it if they made a few changes after MY08? Well, you hate the MY08 and a fool would trade it in - - but a few changes would take you all the way from calling them a fool to following in their steps? Interesting. Maybe it's the same changes that make the G35c superior, also.

the altima is severely outclassed in all three of those comparo's.

i've loved the 37 since day one, but liked the tail end of the 35 more. now that i see the two together, i'm starting to like the 37's tail more.

The problem is I couldnt find a shot of the altima in a darker color. It carries a very similar side profile to the G37
