Say something nice about the new Coupe
I heard a joke a long time ago that somehow relates to the new Coupe.
The joke is called, "The Funeral". There was a funeral and many people attended the eulogy of a recently deceased man. The pastor said his piece and then asked someone to come forward and say something good about the deceased man. No one came forward. Again the pastor asked for someone to come forward and say something nice about the deceased man. Again, no one came forward to say anything. Finally, in desperation, the pastor frantically and emotionally begged for someone to come forward and say something nice about the deceased man, wiping beads of sweat off his forehead. A woman in the crowd stepped forward and shouted out, "Well, his brother was worse".
In the case of the Coupe, although I am not eulogizing it yet, I will say that a Pontiac Aztec is worse. There, I have said something nice about the new Coupe. Just kidding.
I think we need some levity for all the serious discussion that has been going on lately regarding the debut of the new Coupe.

Well, truth be told perhaps we have a little too harsh on the new Coupe. Heck, no one has driven it yet so I can't see how anyone can truly judge.
My kind words on the Coupe? 330HP...nuf said.

can u say poor gas mileage...
do we really need a 3.7 liter engine? reminds of the old muscle car. which gets poor gas mileage. big block engine and doesnt last very long and has oil consumption issues.
the only nice thing about it is the interior... the looks are blah to me. i rather get a 5 series.. but for now, i'll stick with my 06 G... its bone stock. but damn, its still nice. my 19's stock stilll look good to me. haha.

Yep, the preceeding posts just about exhausted the good suff. Now the bad features would take several pages. With all the hype, I was expecting far more. Nevertheless, I'm willing to wait for the magazines to get hold of the G37 and issue some detailed performance results before I make a final judgement. At the present time I don't see anything that would cause me to get excited about the car. Anyway it won't take much to exceed my expectations at this point.

That's a good thing right there. Not as good as more horse power, but good none the less.

Good post Bill. Thanks. I agree.
IMHO, many people have been way too harsh on the new Coupe. I think the trouble is huge expectations and only concept pics being released. No actual model will look as good as the concept and this one is about as close as you will find however.
I want to see it in person before making final judgement. From what I've seen and read so far its nice to look at and seemingly impressive performance, handling and braking. The handling specifically is a big step up. I like the back end, the interior but long for a more muscular look in the front.
