I am so goddamn tired of members b!tching about how the G looks like the Altima Coupe. To all the members that truly think that just go buy an Altima, save yourself some cash and call it a day.

That is just like saying the Jetta will hurt the sales of an A4. Sure, there are similiar styling cues, but one doesn't compete with the other...........just like the Altima Coupe DOES NOT compete with the G37 Coupe!!

Yo N50 the poll says what would u change about the new model. if u think its perfect then why are u posting? Also if its not meant to compete with the Bimmer then why is everyone on this site always saying and comparing their car to an M3 or a 335i. My wife has an Fx and I have a G. I like Infiniti's product but I can also be unbiased when evaluating the new model.

 

I have no clue why you are attacking me. What I do know is that everyone is ready to put the dagger in Infiniti because **** poor quality photos that were intentionally leaked. The autoshow hasn't even gotten here yet, no one has seen this car personally, yet they are so many of you on this board that are acting as if its the coming of the apocalypse for Infiniti. Yes, the poll stated "If there is one thing you can change on the G37 what would it be?". My answer is 'nothing' even though that wasn't a choice because I like the idea of this coupe. First of all, Infiniti Michael pics showed a very well proportioned car that is very true to the concept. I think more people will see that after the autoshow. The front is tight, sporty, and muscular. The rear has been widened to put and emphasis on sport and luxury. Even the mags that have gotten their paws on the car have stated this. I could sit here and argue all day but frankly I don't have time or energy to bullsh*t over a car that really hasn't been released yet. Who knows, maybe after I've seen more pictures and have seen it in person, I may not like it. I'd rather make an educated decision than look at 10 pictures and decide that I hate it already. I've been unbiased in just about every post that I've put on this board. When I believe in something I'm going to stand behind it. I will not jump on a bandwagon or follow the masses who say 'this car looks like crap' just to feel like I "belong". I'm sorry that you and I don't see I eye to eye but in the end I couldn't care less.

 

^^+1. Not everyone feels that way. I for one agree that the G37 looks great and I can't wait to get one. I think it looks more pumped up than the G35, but that is my opinion. You have to remember that everyone has an opinion, and they will not always agree. Which is why I didn't vote in the poll because I would not change anything about it, well maybe a 6 AT, but that was not a option!! So try not to get offened.

 

I never said I hated the new model I just said it needed more hp. You attacked me saying its not meant to compete with the M3. I never bashed infinit or the G37 just stated what I thought needed to be changed. You obviously need to chill bro.

Edit: Bear with me, bulldog25 but Infiniti has yet to release a M3 competitor. If they are trying to go after the M3 with the new coupe, which I doubt, then you're right it needs plenty more hp/tq. This isn't the case though as the new G coupe is set to go after the 335i. This new G coupe will most likely be on par with the 335i. I'm attacking you nor you me, but do you see the logic?

That's a safe bet Bill.

 

The 335i competes in the same segment as the G both for the sedan and the Coupe even though it is a little more expensive. People compare for this reason.

The M3 is significantly more money and also has higher performance specs - both handling and power. Informed people know the G is outmatched by the M3 as one would expect. It is expected the new GTR will likely be closer to the new M3 price range and will be a more appropriate perofrmance comparison as well.
