Wait to see it in person before being completely dissapointed...pictures will always be somewhat deceiving.
I like it, it's a natural progression...but I am glad the old G35 will go down in history a little more with it's definitive headlights, front end styling...

This blows....

I wonder if the addition of a front lip would help that round front end. I thought the addition of the factory lip on the current gen coupe helped greatly in this regard.

Also, what's up with the lower black body on the side mirrors? I hope that doesn't make it to final release.

The middle of the Altima coupe car looks similar to the new G - and the old G for that matter. The front of the Altima is ugly and the back looks odd - at least from the pic on Nissan's web site. There is a similarity from the side view, but the front and back are very different.

Anyone figure out what magazine spilled the beans first?

Any thoughts on the engine information that Automobile magazine detailed. Sounds like they did more than just bump up the motor .2 liter. Flatter torque curve, and more sophisticated technology.

I agree. I am reserving judgement. I normally would just go by these pics, but after reading the article, they've given me hope that the front end looks better in person.

I can't wait to drive it. Sounds like they did alot of other things right.

The front end pic on the Edmunds review shows the front bumper in a better light. Loved the article- the BMW Coupe couldn't handle the track after 4 laps!

The '03-'07 G's headlights are one of a kind.

1st gen will always be a classic. They should of just released the concept as it was without the futuristic headlights, and it would of been a done deal. I had faith in you Nissan, to deliver another nasty Skyline GT, but you ruined it. I will be keeping my current G and will be glad to keep it. I was planning on turning in this lease for the new one, but forget that, my "old" G looks way better. Twin Turbo, here i come!

KenStyle needs to get to work on that front end, pronto.

That's really all the new Coupe needs fixed.

Well, I'm old enough to have been around when the first Mustang came out and everybody loved it. It was a bit tight, a bit cheesy inside, needed a bit more power etc etc.

So Ford, "fixed it up" but never really quite got the 1'st gen mix of looks, fun, and speed back. They tried once, then twice and then it became just another car.

History is about to repeat itself.

If you have a 1'st gen coupe, you have what people go around paying lot's of money for today - a real classic. Enjoy it - and if you can - never let it go!

Here's the link the Edmunds review:

http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...topanel..2.*#9

The pics there look better, especially the front. They also describe the new front as muscular.....hmmm

Anyway, performance-wise, sounds like a nice bump up.

Guys throwing in the towel already...Not I, Until I see this car in person I'll hold judgement..Pictures probably do it no justice. Big brakes, better interior, drop it add some 20's and you have yourself another drop dead gorgeous coupe. The front look great, I think the rear looks like the same old 2004 I had. Other than that NICE. I'm still going to NY to take a peek for myself. Mark my word...it'll grow on you.
