Plus, come early 2008, Toyota is supposed to release their supra... cheaper than the 350z and faster than anything in its class...

"...350bhp @ 7000rpm and about 290 lb.-ft. torque @ 5000rpm. Combine this with a curb weight of about 3200lbs, and you have a car that could run to 60mph in the mid-4.0-second-range" - Road and Track (Nov. 2006)

"The new Supra is expected to come...with a price under that of the 350z" - Road and Track (Nov. 2006)

PWND!!!

Ummm....isn't that what the GTR is?

Considering what the sedan offers right now and how well its being praised, the Coupe will most certainly tie if not best the 3-series, twin-turbos or not.

Here is what I found out and it makes sense. The reason the pricing has not been released on the '07 sedan and the coupe release date is the fact that there are 06 G's sitting on the lot. Right now they have the $299 for 1 year lease deals...do you know why? They are pushing them off of the lot because their price is under $40K and Infiniti doesn't want anything on their lots under $40K. They want you to walk into an environment where the average Joe can't buy.

Once these leftover coupes are gone the sedan pricing will be released and it is going to knock Infiniti enthusiasts like us on our asses. I would bet that sedan pricing is going to be in line with fully loaded '06 and previous coupe pricing, and coupe pricing in relation will be $10K more for the fully loaded ride. Expect that coupe price to be high $40's to low $50's.

Infinti is carefully (and quitely) changing their pricing points. Have you been to one lately and looked around? A fully loaded M35X for $51K? That's a tad bit much.

As for whoever mentioned the Supra--it becomes pretty obvious that all the press is missing something important (3 letters): 2JZ. There is no way that it is going to get as much fanboi following as the previous models because forced induction isn't present. The Nissan guys with the Z have only rarely had a peak at an FI production car (300) so most of the time we have had to deal with NA. Those Toyota guys drool at the thought of the turbos, and when they don't come from the factory prepared for 1000HP they probably won't get where they think they will.

They want to clear the '06's and hype the '07's so the can get the highest price for them. They are manipulating the supply to increase the price

I'd bet so. My '03 was $38K fully loaded. Why is an '07 M35 base still $40K then?

Where did you find out the Infiniti information on the sedan and coupe pricing?

Nah, a little insight and some common sense helped me finish it off. I'd say a fully loaded pimp coupe will be high $40's.

The new Z won't be changing pricing points, and ahhhhhhh I'm really thinking about it
