2013 g37 convertable issue

Hello everybody,

I have just recently bought a g37 convertable.

Had an issue with the convertable top but i don't know where to start checking, as even when i press the button to open i have no action.

Did anyone face such a problem? Or might have an idea where to start?

You will have to be a little more specific with your issue.

You press the OPEN switch and...? Any warning messages? Any "beeps?"

Did the roof operation work when you bought the car?

nothing at all happenes when i press the button, not a warning and not a sound. Like nothing at all. I tried to get more details from the previous owner, he didn't have any idea as well.

and no i bought it fully aware that it's working, i want it to fix it if it's just something simple, but i don't know where to start looking.

If you haven't already, go here, navigate to your specific car, and download the factory service manual. From there you can start checking fuses and try checking for any codes. A good scanner might be able to pull any potentially stored codes from the RHT/CU. Being that you are not getting ANY feedback might point to a switch or power issue. There have been reports of owners pulling fuses to "shut the beep up" when the system is "out of sync." Mostly because getting a "roof relearn" requires a trip to the dealer.

Did you try opening the roof using the door handle switch?

I will be frank with you, diagnosing this roof is not going to be easy. Without the Nissan CONSULT3 tool there is going to be a lot of headache/ trial-and-error and even then with no guarantee.
