Transmission replacement

Hi, I currently have a 2010 G Convertible. The transmission is going bad and will need to be replaced. I have a few questions about the transmissions that will fit.
I know nothing from an AWD model will work, as well as anything from a sedan.

Will a transmission from a coupe fit in a convertible? When I try looking up online, some sites say yes and some say no.
Also, are there any specific year models that wont work?

What's the best way to know what will and wont work, and where might be a good place to source one from?

When mine went out i went to the infiniti dealer and they found one from a junkyard with 90 thousand miles. Cost me $2700 parts and labor after tax. I would ASSUME all the transmissions are the same 7 speed.

Wait, so your dealer installed a used (junkyard) unit?

Sorry, but that's a first even for me...

First they hit me with $10,000 for a "new" one. Nope. Then he said $3400 for used one. They have connections so if it was bad it would have been warranted by the junkyard and they would have giving me another one. They had my car for a month, and didn't have any loaners, so I think they lowered my bill to offset my rental fees, over $800. Now I can say that it did shift better than my old one ever did, lol. But it did leak fluid like a week or 2 later because it needed a new gasket but they took care of that. I'm happy with it. Been almost a year now.

I thought I saw somewhere that final drive was different between the vert and a coupe, but based on a few websites it looks like they are the same.. I'm definitely questioning myself here as well.
