Wet floorboard after automatic car wash

Anybody have a clue on where this leak is coming from? It doesn't happen every time I go through an automatic car wash but it is starting to happen more often, and it is accompanied by a temporary malfunction of the blower motor it doesn't seem to want to come on consistently just after a wash.

Being that you have a 'Vert, the likely suspect is a failed windshield cowl seal.

Check your cabin air filter. If it is wet, the cowl seal failed.

The only other way water can get in the cabin is through the firewall wiring harness grommet.

I took the vert through an automatic wash once (long time ago) and vowed to never do it again. These seals are not good with forced water from various angles. I recommend to not do that to avoid bigger issues in the future.

I found some water dropping near the newly installed BCM. I took out the glove box and checked to see where the water was coming from. I did discover water inside the blower motor. When I took apart i found a rust like this. No idea how long this been leaking but i am sure it's been a while. I cleaned it dry and I went over to the engine area and discovered that water indeed was dripping thru the in cabin vent. I tried to cover it up with aluminum foil (grill). When using the fan with outside air it was making noise because not enough was getting inside the vent. So, I purchased Amerimax 4in x 8in Aluminum step flashing(little thicker) from Lowes Item #44834 Model #68708BX and covered up the hole. I am waiting a big rain storm to see if this indeed sealed it. I am pretty sure no water gonna get thru this.

Instead of getting a new windows cowl (I couldn't find any good used one), I covered it up. Also I also brought brand new fastens to hold cowl in place and battery divider. I do believe this helps to put cowl in it's place.
