My top got out of sequence about a year ago. Took it to the dealer and they reprogrammed it and it was fine for a while. Now about every third time I open it, it completely opens yet when I go to drive the 'top in motion' beeper goes off and won't quit until I stop. At this time, the top will not go up. If I park it, the next morning the top goes up fine. Pretty frustrating. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

 

Other than reprogramming again, I doubt anyone will recommend you something different.

Sorry I haven't replied to this in a while but just in case someone searches, here's what I found.

Went back to the dealership and they said I had the wrong battery. Of course, I thought this was ridiculous. I paid the money for the high speed battery and haven't had a problem with the top since. Works perfectly. YMMV.

 

Have you had any issues since? I'm looking at a '11 myself so I'm trying to get a general idea of how reliable these vert's are

 

Yup. always have a good battery and ALWAYS have the car running when you put it up/down.

If not driven for awhile, put a battery tender on your car.
