Hi folks. I have an '09 convertible and have had no issues with the convertible top. However, I know that if anything DOES go wrong, it's going to cost big bucks.

After talking with my mechanic, he suggested I reach out to see if there are any threads of issues, what year cars, after how many miles, and what type of issue and cost.

Then, based on that information, I should have a pretty good idea, other than accident, what the likelihood that I'll run into issues.

Granted, the car only has a 7 year history, and I for one have not had issues with th eroof (I only have 62k miles on mine) beyond some rattling, but do any of you have additional knowledge that would help?

Only other issue to be aware of is that oil gallery gasket in the rear timing cover, models prior to 2012 have an inferior paper gasket that can fail, and is upwards of $2k to replace.
