Painted my oem wheels Anthracite Metallic

Yes I used plasti-dip. You will see lots of crappy plasti-dipped wheels out there but if done right and choose the correct color, the results looks really good. I used 5 cans total of "True metallic" anthracite gray spray paint. The color really matches the blue paint. The paint has metallic flakes on it but its very subtle.

For those who do not know what plasti-dip is, its just a rubber coating paint that is pretty durable. It can be peeled off at any time. I primarily did this to protect my OEM wheels.

the overall job came out great. Although, a can of glossifier to add some shine to it would make it look even better.

Did you consider powder coating? It's more robust than Plasti Dip - but you have to take the tyres off and it's more expensive -

But it's much more durable. The UK still uses salt in the winter and that's really tough on wheels so it's worth the extra cost and effort over here

I actually like the silver OEM paint. I just did this to see how dark wheels look like on my blue car. After a year, I will peel our the plasti-dip and my wheels should still look like new.

Aha! Reversing the process is not an option on powder coating.

I like your idea of trying different colours, too!

When you change your tires, it will likely mess up the plasti-dip.
