I want to share a problem with the 2009 convertible top.

Problem: Top wont open or close at all and while driving alarms are sounding that the top is attempting to move without being commanded

After many trips to the dealer and a history report on the car the problem was discovered. There was a problem with the 2009 hydraulic control module for the top. The average cost for the repair at a dealership is $6500.00

The module in my car was replaced twice under warranty. Apparently Infiniti is now aware of the problem now. I had the second repair done in Aug 2013 still under warranty and the service manager stated the new hydraulic control module looks very different than the one he removed so lets Hope!

My warranty expired in June 2014 so if I'm wrong I will have to pay the next one. I have a g37 convertible and the mileage is only 13,000mi.

Thats a total of $13,000.00 in warranty repairs in such few miles.

 

buy an extended warranty to get peace of mind .

Apparently not. Just the 2009 original first cars produced had the problem. I dont think you will have a problem with your 2010. If it was an ongoing problem it would be all over this forum and the internet.
