OK, so I ordered back in January, and was still waiting for dealer to confirm ETA. Finally today I get a screen shot from the Infiniti order system, showing I have a production month of May and a delivery month of June. But it also shows a model year of 13! Anyone have any details of any changes for the new model year? I wouldn't expect much, and can't seem to find anything online... It's not an IPL (needed the 3rd pedal ), but maybe they're timing all 2013 releases together?

Contact the dealer and ask them to provide details about the new model year that you will be receiving.

 

One of the newest changes I have seen, is the owners manuals will have 2013 on them.

Sounds like a good problem to have! congrats.

Also, you may want to change your footer to say 2013 convert on order....get firsts while you can.

I was told back in October of 2011 when I took delivery of my 2012 6MT conv that the entire supply of 2012 6MTs were already sold out. Great job scoring a 2013!

Typically Infiniti will release an updated Sedan first, the Coupe a year later and finally, if they decide to keep it around, the Convertible... so I wouldn't expect a new-style convertible until at least 2015/16 model year.

Thanks Jsweaz! I'm told it's at the port, so hopefully delivery is imminent. It's 6 months from initial order date and getting any sort of update has been like pulling teeth... I was told apparently production was shut down for 7 weeks, then the first 4 weeks back up was dedicated to IPL verts. Not sure I believe everything I am told... just want my new vert!

 

Well hopefully you get to drive before 2013! Congratulations, nothing like a long wait to make it so much sweeter when you get it. I call that dedication!

 

The 2013 is unchanged from the 2012.

 

Actually Crazysim, not true... they've taken out the music box and increased the price $800 At least the dealer is honoring the original 2012 nego deal.

 

Glad the jb is gone. The juke box is useless!!! who in the world is going to feed CD's in one at a time and rip the disk to a hard drive. Very 2008 ;-0

Easier to have a USB mem stick with all your music, or and Ipod, or your phone...

 

OK, picked her up today, 6 months and 2 days after order date! And YES, it was worth the wait! Haven't fully digested everything yet, but the ride experience was sick!! My dealer has offered the exhaust upgrade for free as a goodwill gesture for the waiting time... let's see if that happens. Anyone have it??
