Rookie Mistake

Finally picked up my new G37S tonight. Went thru the whole dealership paperwork thing, put the paper work in the car, then went to dinner with my husband. After dinner the top went down and within the first 100 ft of pulling onto the main road - papers were flying and my registration blew out the back. Pulled over immediately and went to retreive the registration, on to have it sucked up in the front grill of a passing SUV (mind you, this was a 6 lane city street with 55mph speedlimit.)

Rookie mistake - will have to get the registration replaced tomorrow.

Lesson learned!

don't you have a temp registration card attached to the front windshield until your actual registration card arrives from DMV? In CA they don't let you drive off without it.

At least it wasn't anything too important. I have had stuff almost blow out of the car, too.

I've had my ABU cap blow out of the window before.

In fl, I've never had a registration card, just the receipt from the annual taxes with the sticker attached for the license plate. It's $3 to replace, I just have to find out what documents they need in order to replace it.
