Why a Vert > Coupe > Sedan?

Very cool on the storage use. You just get very nervous/careful on the in/out part.

Never considered the open air audio. I take that for granted. Goes both ways for serious audiophiles though. Not much of an upgrade path for those into sound. But I think it's more than adequate.
I like loud rock music and it meets my needs. I normally always have it around 7/10ths, unless I am sitting in traffic with lots of cars close by.

My car has been very quiet. No squeaks or rattles, or at least nothing I can hear over the stereo.

ha good one cereal!

after i bought my sedan 2 years ago, i almost leased a vert 3 months later to add to my stable of Gs, but didn't..then i almost leased a vert again last december...but didn't.

I still have my sedan, and love it, and still want that 2-in-1 vert/coupe...

Convertible looks really cool... But considering they don't make it in AWD and I already had a Mustang convertible that leaked more than a faucet, plus the coupe is a lot cheaper for me and I like the look better... It snows too much for me to not have a car without AWD (I didn't drive my Mustang for 3 months, drove my dad's Jeep for those 3 because of constant snowy roads)... Not trying to put you down but I will agree that I would love to have one, but isn't really feasible where I live lol

It's a good point raised.
I think that all three body styles are at or near the top of the class range for the price/performance.

Funny I started with an 03 G sedan vs a coupe for space, practicality, hauling people. After the SC430 came out I've been waiting for infiniti to do something similar. So I've always had the vert in my sights.

Vert is nice, but for me hauling extra 600 pounds around take away some of the sportiness off the car, to each his own.

I guess the real question is is the vert planned for weekend driving or daily driving.

I see your fear of leaks based on past experience, but hartop>softtop. For the hardtop the issues have been identified and addressed for the leaks experienced by some (including me one time). Con on the AWD for the winter location requirements. Unless there is a "winter car" I can see where the vert may be impractical.

Just 400 extra pounds minus
Definitely not for performance, you that can always be fixed via forced induction

400lbs.... That's why I supercharged it. 400lbs is now negligable. Plus I drive during the winters here in chicago with no problems.

I'd get a vert in a if it's available in X. I would've bought an Audi cabriolet with quattro if A4 cabriolet wasn't discontinued, A5 cabriolet wasn't so expensive and yet still underpowered. I know I know, why would someone want a convertible and AWD. We get 6 months of snow so convertible AWD is the only way to go if having a 2nd car is not an option...

snow tires on an rwd are adequate for snow weather. I have a sedan and love it, would love to have a vert too. So I don't prefer one to the other they both have their uses. I do love our convertibles though, only one I have ever actually enjoyed driving. And about the wind noise with top down, just put windows up and the rear wind deflector and it essentially eliminates it (with the radio on though)

and convertibles is a camouflaged coupe, opportunity to pack light on a trip and blow the stink Off

Exactly!

I cross-shopped the BMW, Audi, Volvo, Mustang, Sebring, Mini, and Mercedes verts just to do due diligence but I wanted the G37 all along.

I had already decided I wanted a 4-seater convertible going in.

I bought the rear deflector, used it once, and stored it in the garage.

I've done hour-plus drives on the freeway with the top down and the windows up and felt totally comfortable. True I had the radio blasting but even without it there was no wind noise except nice wind noise .

I guess I have to try it with the rear wind deflector but I don't see a lot of value to it except to protect the contents of the rear seat, and I've learned to anchor light stuff with the heavier things so that nothing blows around.

To me there is a coupe and sedan. and the coupe can just come with a drop top.
They are equally great in there own ways.

Yes they are great in their own ways, but part of the question given the choice why was a vert chosen over the sedan.

There are comprimises with each, maybe some more on the vert than the other models but I think the reasons to purchase the vert outweigh the comprimises.
