So I've been ruminating more and more on the idea of getting the G37 IPL Vert that someone on this forum had posted earlier. Those pics are extremely hot and I'm definitely feeling the look.

I'd advance to something else but I'm looking to buy a loft in Jersey City, NJ so I guess it's the most I can afford at the moment. Nevertheless, I think I'm going to place a deposit on this car.

My current lease comes off July, 2012. Think the car will be here by then?

Infiniti announced recently that the 2013 IPL convertible will be available Spring 2012. But, from what I have read, it will be based on the same platform as the current convertibles. The next generation G will not be available until late next year or early 2013 if I am not mistaken.

 

I doubt they will refresh the coupe and convertible in 2013... My thought is that just the sedan will be refreshed in 2013

The thing that kills the IPL for me are the color combinations.

 

I agree, new coupe convertible will come out in 2014.

 

I like the Malbec w/Red Vert. Think it looks amazing. The dropp they have on it it also legit. Havent made any moves yet...

 

I was told they won't even take deposits on them yet. Were you able to make a deposit on one?

I wish they had more color combos for this kind of vehicle but yea CVIPGO, that's the best combo, even on just the normal coupe..

 

you're lease ends in july of 2012 and you're putting a deposit on it now? thats kinda silly for a few reasons
1) the car wont sell out when it launches
2) way too early.....you might change your mind 340498 times

hold on to your money, put it in a CD....im sure you can go in April and order a car

 

^Werd. OP, why not just wait for the next gen G? That's an awful lot of money to shell out for a current gen G esp right now. I'm sure your car is perfectly fine now, like a couple people have said you might change your mind.

IMO, IPL G vert would not be worth it...you might as well wait for the next gen M3 or new C63 AMG coupe bc it will be cutting it close.

 

or you can find a limited edition G vert from 2011 now and just transform it into an IPL

 

agreed, I have a feeling that this time the sedan will change before the coupe, so that means new coupe in 2014..

 

You guys are definitely giving some sage advice and i'm anticipating a few thousand fluctuations in tastes of what my next car will be.

I'm going to keep my money on me and just ride this wave out. We'll see what's good in July 2012. Who knows, I may actually be married by that time and so the next car would be for wifey lol...
