Anyone has ever experience a few popping sounds (sounds like cracking knuckles) after closing the top? I notice the sound today when driving home top-down then when closing the top, I stayed in the car for a few minutes and heard 3 pops (each around 10 seconds apart). Is this normal?

 

you noticed them while driving or after driving and the car shut off?

if the car was off and you had just finished driving, it could just be your exhaust cooling down.

 

it was after the car was shut off and top closed. I know about popping/rattles from the exhaust system but this particular pop was definitely from the top and there were only a few pops (three with 10 second intervals between them) then it stops.

 

You should have dealer check roof's hydraulic system, may be there's air in the line.

 

I've not heard any popping sound from the roof area on mine. Definitely have it checked out.

 

Yeah Im going to the dealer next Wednesday for another problem I'm having so I'll have them take a look at he pop sound as well. Thanks for the responses guys!

 

any news on the popping sound or follow up? I believe im experiencing this as well. its not loud but its noticable after cars off and in the garage.
