"Technically" they are L/R specific only because there is a small notch on the edge of the kickplates where the wires pass under before going under the door welt/seal (to prevent any sharp edge cutting the wires). Here is a screen shot from the installation booklet:
Regardless, you should have no problem mixing/matching.
