its not a matter of asking.......its a matter of what they have. if all they have are G's.....you can ask for w/e you want....but you're gunna get a G.

the dealership near my house only has G's......another one in LI has G's and EX's

 

This indicates to me that the switch has been disconnected or if even possible turned off with the consult III

 

You can try holing down the button by the door also. But if it's disabled by some other means (consult III as Fezzik suggests) you may be out of luck especially if there is nothing on the display panel to indicate why the roof mechanism is not functioning.
If it does work from the door button, but the switch in the console does not work to close put the top back up it may be permanently down LOL.

 

Did you check the fuse? It may be as simple as the dealership removing it so it will not function...

The fuse is either in the area under the dash by the clutch on the inside of the fender or in the main panel under the hood. I am not home and not near my car but I suggest that you open the manual and go the the fuse section - it should be easy enough to locate...

 

It may be time to return the vert by the time he figures out how to get the roof working...

I think if this all doesn't work may be the roof switch is disconnected in the center area....
or
hard top control unit connector is dis connected (located in the trunk)

or just trade and get the convertible and the dealer will fix it :>)

 

nah it sucks that it did not come with owner's manual
If i had the owner's manual I would probably already tried to look at it
anybody can send me the convertible's owner's manual for fuse pages?
