Infiniti reboot?
#16
My system just rebooted mid-drive for the first time today.
It was morning and cool out so I doubt it was a temp-related thing.
iPhone reconnected and XM radio went right back to playing. Then the weather warnings for heat and surf repeated (as they usually do during initial boot).
The only thing "out of the norm" I noticed just prior to the reboot was that I was fiddling (a technical term) with the Audio Pilot setting. For half a moment I considered that maybe it needed the reboot to reset the Audio Pilot but then I remembered reading this thread...
This is week 2 of ownership and with about 1400 miles on the clock. I will post again if it repeats.
(It's a 2010 G37S convertible, also referred to as my own freakin' transformer!)

I mentioned the TSB to my dealer and they claimed I have latest software. (I only picked the car up two Sundays ago, so it seemed believable that it would be "current".)
No additional reboots as of yet (couple hundred miles since last reboot at this point).
A previous poster mentioned they got the update but still had a reboot subsequent to the update.
Somebody else mentioned higher temperatures having some impact. We've been seeing triple digit temps here this week but the one (and hopefully only) time I've had a reboot was early enough in the day that the temp wasn't any worse than low 70'sF.
Does the update change a version number someplace that we can pull up on the display? If so, what is the latest version???
Thanks in advance. Nice group of people on this list. Glad I found it!

You can now add a DroidX user and a blackberry 9650 the list. Ours is rebooting without even playing music. It just "reboots" while you are talking on the BT. If first happened to the wife with her BB. I ignored it thinking it was her. Then, yesterday, as I was taking the car to my dealer for some service it happed to me 3 times!! They have already preformed the TSB on our 2010G27X sedan so there must be other issues. I do hope to learn more about it.
My dealer and the Infiniti hot line say then do not know of this issue until now.

I have a 09 vert. which did the same thing using a blackberry. My dealer installed three different control modules. The third unit has been working for three months with no reboot. Infinity mother ship (corporate) was involved with the fix. Took a while but they did fix it.

Mine just rebooted yesterday for teh first time... 09 Vert... It seemed very minor since it stopped the music, rebooted and midway during the reboot, (infiniti logo on screen) the music from my ipod nano continued.
Ps- I have no nav on mine.

2010 G37 Coupe did this too
My G does this too. I have a USB stick with a gazillion of my favorite songs on it that I play on "random" -- I haven't completely debugged this, but I believe it has something to do with a corrupt MP3 on the memory stick. When the corrupted song comes up (randomly), then the firmware in the car rudely decides to reboot the console.
