A bit of haterade today huh? Instead of wondering how long till it breaks, why not marvel at it? Nobody asks how long till the Hardtop of a Mercedes SL will last so why do it on the G37 Conv? I think it looks great. What will be kick *** will be the Pacific Blue with Wheat Interior.
how many hardtops does infiniti have? now ask that same question about MB?... who's had more time to figure out that less is more?
No I agree that clearly Infiniti could have used less moving parts but at the end of the day, it looks great and they say it can stow 2 golf bags. What more can you ask for?
haha, i hear you, D_C. it just seems like the vert idea from infiniti was doomed since before its inception.
I think there will be lots of naysayers but when you see a Pacific Blue wit hthe Top Down and with the sport bumper and wheels... I think alot of people's minds will change. Plus it benefits a lot of people on here to trash the G37 Vert as most have already got the G37 Coupe and are "stuck"with it. Obviously it doesn't apply to anyone but a Lowered Vert with the right wheels will be SEX.
I saw the Sky Blue vert in person and it looks the same. still ugly. I wouldnt buy the vert even if I hadnt already bought my G simply because verts are know to have more problems (on any car) and they are more dangerous.

Dangerous if you wanna try driving upside down a Tunnel in a Ferrari F430 Spyder but it's not anymore different then any car and SUV's are more likely to end up with the top of the car face down on the road then a vert due to a SUV's higher rollover tendency.
My dad had a 335i convertible when it first came out, the next day after he had it, the roof had problems latching. It would only go so far, then you had to shut off the car and then turn it on to make it close all the way.
it's better for sound quality than a cheap non hardtop roof. let's see how this car will do. you can never really see the size of the trunk in that vid

Plus if you live in a not so nice neighborhood, they won't tear your softop off and jack your car!
