Does anyone have any insight as to why the release date for the Convertible seems to be pushed to 'mid-spring' when the original release was said to be February.

I'm just wondering if the reason could be: an initial estimate that was too aggressive, or problems with production, the economy (reduced demand), or something else.

I was this close to getting the coupe a year ago and felt I should wait just in case a convertible was announced. It was very hard to wait around for months, but then the rumors started... the official announcement came, and now February turns to mid-Spring...

 

it's economy but it's better to have most of the country in warm weather climate to have the new convertible to be released.

 

I kinda agree with the Mayor on this.... not sure if anyone wants to drop the top when its 0 degrees outside

 

I went to the dealer yesterday and they are waiting to get rid some of the current inventory on the lots

 

The dealer called me today with a general inquiry as to my interest in the convertible. He said they expect availability in March or April.

 

They always release verts right around that time.
