I started out many years ago with a used G35, I put over 200k miles on it and traded it for a G37 from Enterprise of all places. Neither car has had any real problems or difficulties - just tires and brakes. Just how reliable is the turbo engine? I am a bit leery spending the money but since my 2011 G37 value is dropping and the miles are getting up there (230k) I have been looking at the G50's that Hertz is selling, they look pretty nice. I saw a 2019 for under 25k. What are your thoughts?

You need to get on the q50 forum and q50 FB page. Very mixed on earlier VRs, most break or have issues with turbos going out, Coolant leaks, even cracked blocks. Infiniti voiding warranties over engine mods, denying claims, its a **** show. You might be OK on a 2019 or newer BUT a rental car would be a BIG NO-NO for me. If you are confident in the VQ platform which it sounds like you have been, I would suggest looking at a lower mileage 2015 Q50s. I had a 2015 Q50 premium and it was great for me but I sold it. My G37 Sedan 6mt is way more fun to drive. But I'm crazy and an idiot so you don't base any life decisions off me. lol
