If they actually decide to change, especially to this style, it will be a thing of beauty. Heard many manufacturers are holding off on releasing newer versions to keep production costs down. Especially stuff coming out of Japan because of the tsunami effect. It will take them a while to rebuild some of the suppliers that were wiped out.

Infiniti is on a 5 year life cycle. So 2012 sedan should be new and 2013 coupe should be new.

Ya the next gen G sedan should give a big design clue to the next gen G coupe's design. BMW does the same thing, releasing the F30 335i sedan in 2012 model year and F32 335i coupe in 2013 model year right after.

After seeing the next gen G sedan we should probably have a really good idea what the next gen coupe will look like.

I agree completely. I can't wait to see the new design improvements even though I have only had my G for a few months...

I'm pretty sure there won't be a major overhaul before model year 2013.

If there was one slated for 2012, there would have been pictures and specs all over the internet out by now.

I also spoke with an Infiniti exec at the recent auto show here in NY, and he agreed that nothing new is slated for 2012 - or else, it would have been released at this point in time.

His sources were telling him that the next redesign will be slated for a 2013, and will go on sale late next year.

I hope they release a better engine choice for the G25. That 2.5L V6 isn't worth the cost savings, and still makes the car heavy. If they release a turbo I4 then I may choose that over the next gen V6. Looking at maybe an A3/A4 as my next car when my lease is up in 2013, unless Infiniti does something like that. Should be interesting.

why a 4-cylinder turbo... i'd keep my VQ37HR any day over a boosted 4-cylinder that's less reliable.

To some people $20 dollars a month cheaper on a lease or $3000 price different between a G25x vs G37x are big numbers.

Sounds like you rather stick with your G37 over a G25 anyways.

If you want a turbo 4 making 200hp why buy a G?

Maybe for the looks, luxurious interior??

IDK what Nissan has planned for the future, but the fact that they have a factory turbo vehicle like the Juke is a good sign of things to come I guess.... I hope.

Anyways, it sucks to know that our model G's are almost at the end of its cycle. The next Gen G's are going to come out soon and our cars will look outdated.

I doubt our cars will look outdated. Even the G35 sedans and coupes still look good on the road today.

No matter what happens, I'll be enjoying my G37 for a long time. Love the car.

did a bunch of research before purchasing the 2012.... the redesigned model will only be out end of 2013-middle of 2014... more likely towards may-july 2014... and there will be a H model and a 3.5 turbo model.. they are also R&D g56s which is a bunch of bullsh** to me

I'm expecting to see a redesign motor in the next few years too.. Something with GDI or T-GDI. Expect a year or two to work out all the bugs too.
