Next Gen G Coupe, G50

In a recent Ebay search, I found two filters that had the "G50" listed as an applicable model, I know maybe a coincidence. Or maybe this is leaked information? anyway thats what im hoping for . And as far fetched as it sounds china has time and time again revealed production plans of many electronics corporations, IE Sony and Apple. So what is your tought on a V8 G ? to much ? Or just right, I think its the next logical step besides FI.
Reliable torquey and something our coupes should have access to. In rder to become a true "standard" in luxury automobiles.

As soon as you said ebay, I knew it was a hoax.

don't really think they'll put a V8 in there, it'll be direct competition with M3, meaning G pricing goes sky rocket... G37h more likely, I would dig the mpg.

Yeah I agree. I would see the next gen G to have a hybrid /and or a small Turbo would be the most likely.

G50 is what the IPL should of been but never did lol

Infiniti said they could have easily made a G50 or G56 but no one would pay $65,000 - $70,000 for the car so it was pointless to build it.

For whatever reason I just don't see Infiniti investing into building a V8 powered G to compete with the M3 or RS5. It would be great but just not gonna happen.

From: Framingham Ma,
I agree the V6 is where it's at.. All tho I think Infiniti "may" take a look at the GTR and do something along that line.. I thought that would have been the IPL modle-Or should have been IMO.

Has Infiniti spoken to when we're going to see this yet?

New York Auto Show is right around the corner (end of April) is that the new car's targeted debut, or will they wait till later in the year at like Paris?

They'll probably show a G concept later this year or early next year for an introduction in late 2012 to early 2013.

See that's what I don't get.

They are keep saying no one will pay those kind of prices for a high powered Infiniti.

Sure it might not sell as good as M3. But look at Lexus and their IS-F. It's basically a high powered IS that cost $4k more than M3. Yet they are selling a ton of them. I saw at least more than 10 on the road pass couple of months.

If Infiniti does make a high powered G that's priced around M3 price($55k). I am darn sure a ton of people will buy it.

Lexus is not selling them, you can ask da mayor about that. He mention that back in the fall dealers still had 09s on the lot. I know in the late summer a Lexus dealer near me had a few 09s parked in the back.
