Any news on the G25 that's coming this Fall?

Long time Nissan/Infiniti fan. Love the G except for the MPG. Ya I know that its a sports sedan, but can't bring myself to getting a car that gets the same MPG as my 2000 I30. I mean afterall, its 10 years later!

Hear nissan is going to drop the VQ2.5HR into the G for the US and it will be in dealers this Fall. Currently it's sold in China. Also heard that it gets 38 MPG in mixed driving. Read all this on various sites on the web.

Anyone know if these facts are true? Any inside info?

That's funny because I was thinking exactly the opposite of you. I had a 1993 Mazda MX-6 coupe that I drove for seven years before selling it. The fuel economy rating is virtually identical to the G37 coupe 17 years later. Am I disappointed about that? Not really, considering that the Mazda was a 2700 lb car with 164 HP and the G37 coupe weights about 1000 lbs more and makes more than twice the HP of the Mazda.

Looks like the infiniti G25 maybe on its way to the US soon. They have arrived in China:

I didn't know, however, that the Infiniti name was used anywhere else but in the US. Has Infiniti always been in China???

Well Infiniti is a new brand in China but the Infiniti vehicles in China weren't previously sold as Nissan branded products if that's what you mean.

I guess you haven't seen the Infiniti Europe site? www.infiniti.eu

Interesting. The rear bumper looks diff than the 2010 G Sedan in the US.

It also has sonar in the front.

EU, Asian, ands Middle East vehicles all have sonar front and rear. We just get the rear sonar. The EU models also have headlight washers since it's required by law.
