I keep hearing different dates from different sources, Late August, Sept and even November. What is the true correct release date? The '08 G37 did come out in the last week of August '07.

 

To my knowledge, there isn't a "confirmed" date just yet. From what I gather, end August - beginning September is the target.

Has that been Infiniti's traditional release date? I thought since the '08 G37 was a new model it came out as an '08 model early; hence the late August release. I was planning on buying a G37 in June, but need to know for sure when the new model is coming out so I have the best bargaining position on either a good deal on an '08 or having a '09 model (with possible enhancements) early in the cycle.

 

I guess it's best to ask an Infiniti salesman ???

You got the right idea, holmes. The closer you wait to August/September the sweeter the deal on an '08 you'll get. You should be getting $1k below invoice at minimum.

Also, a dealer told me today that a hardtop retractable convertible G coupe will be out by end of the year. Cool, I suppose, but I'm not in the market for one.

 

I bought my car 2 weeks ago and asked about the 2009. They told me they'd be out in the fall, and there would be convertibles available at that time.

 

Convertables? And not even a single "official" picture of one from Infiniti..

 

Makes sense Diamond. If they released that info they would be having issues selling the 08 G37 which is already not selling well due to this weak market and everyone afraid of the economy.

 

it will be a surprise, why leak out pics of the convertible now and spoil it

 

Will there be an AWD convertible?

Well I hope, when they do release a G convertable, it's a hard top.
I'm writing to Infiniti to see if they can confirm ANY details with regards to a G convertable.
