Don Pablo's would work out. It's big and we could pull tables together. There is usually good parking.

I agree that steak anyplace but vrsc's just isn't as good.

Where did vrsc grill all these steaks? I seem to remember that he is, or was, a chef at some time. Maybe he could chime in and give us a few good ideas.

Good call on Sonny's and the booths. I forgot about that. I found a link to the Zaxby's that Gilley mentioned, so I added that to the list.

Don Pablo's is close to Route 98.

I can't attend if the date is May 13th, but if the date is changed I would love to attend. As for connections... I currently have none. I was an Executive Chef/Food and Beverage Director at the Historic Terrace Hotel for 2 years but that was back in 2002. Still don't think that would be a great meeting place because each member would walk out with a bill around $75-$100 each person, depending on if it was lunch or dinner. It seems that they are still serving some of my menu items

Texas Cattle company has OK steaks but does not have the area for large group seating. It seems that Don Pablos is the best overall choice (large parking lot, large available seating and good food)

That's good news!

The Prez and VP are both good for May 13th. We know Daniel is good-to-go because he checked every single day in the WFL Meeting Day-of-the-Week Poll that's currently underway. There aren't any bad days for him!

You're the first one not to be able to make it on the 13th. Is there a chance that you can free up the 13th?

That sounds like great advice... everyone seems to like Don Pablos. I'm sure you probably have the best knowledge of restaurants in the Lakeland area. Are there any restaurants that we've overlooked for our Meet?

Nice of you to volunteer Jason for this event...

Maybe we could plan a full Regional Meet later this Summer on the beach, or Fort Desoto, or a Recreational Park, and do a cookout like the SFL guys just did. Maybe we could volunteer Jason to help with the cooking for that... I mean since we're volunteering him...

Thanks Sean, I would love to have everyone over but will not be in the area that weekend.

Give me a date in advance and it would be my pleasure. I love cooking good food for good friends

Sounds like it's coming along nicely. Tampa people we should try and meet and caravan to the place, if that can be arranged, that would be pretty sweet if we roll in there together. Kinda like a posse. Let me know what you think.
