Man, I just got back from vacation, but though not the most timely, you think had a crappy night? I got in only 2 runs after driving in from Daytona: a 14.8xx and a 15.2xx...both with traps in the 96mph range...The first run I ran a 2.3 60', it felt weak down low but strong on top. The second I got a decent launch, but had it in full auto (nice job paying attention) and I slammed it in neutral rather than 2nd!!!

At least I didn't feel as bad since the guy I ran had a GTI 1.8t with an APR chip, upgraded BOV, wastegate and exhaust. I beat him the first race and the second, I was catching up at the end...

Either way, my times totally suck. I still think it is a 'hole' issue, since on the way home I was running with a Mustang GT that I saw run a 13.9xx on the highway. We had several spirited runs from 50ish to almost 100mph and though I never could pull on him or catch up, he didn't leave me one bit. I still believe the car is a low 14's car just based on its weight and the SAE power at almost 250hp, but it is really a pig from a stop though it doesn't feel like it. I'm sure it didn't help that my tires were really at 39psi (my gauge was broken) and I had the extra weight of my kid in the car on both runs.

My wife has that boggy video of you, Jeremy, and some pics. I'll try to get them on here later tonight. I may need someone to host the vids, though as I don't know if photobucket will allow something that large.

In all, my kids had fun and my wife was actually in awe. She thought it would be quite retarded, but other than her still bashing people who spend $85k ++ on a car that they race on the track, she was cool with everything!

I also had a fun run with a S14 with a RB25 swap on the way home. Ian was a witness. We we from about 40-100. We were pretty even until until the end. He quickly pulled about 2 cars on me. That car sounded soo good.

 

yeah i was talking to that guy for a while at the track, that car should be much faster, his clutch is slipping in every gear he said. i actually raced him my last race NA i think. if cass has the video we can see...

 

RB25 in a S14 with the stock turbo is a low 12 sec car. Obviously something was up with his car. I'm sure it was fun reguardless.

 

he definently had something wrong with it, it was only running high 13s. i actually raced him the last race i think....

he said his clutch was slipping really bad. he was running 13 psi also on it
