I think that's part of it, but I think the main reason is because we drive the crap out of our cars.... 140+ daily doesn't help....

...just need a clear bra or something

Fiberglass chips a lot worse than urethane. The chips are a lot bigger as the paint sort of flakes off. Your only solution is get get a custom clear bra after you have it redone, or put blue tape on it everytime you get on the highway as stupid as it sounds.
