On a high and we've hit a dry spell...
OK, after that last meet and the new announcement for every club member and sponsor getting a free PREMIER MEMBERSHIP on G35driver.com I would have thought that we would have had a slew of new club members joining.
Is this just an anomaly or have we reached the pinnacle? Is 144 club members enough?

hey seriously i think you need to mail everyone 20 or so business cards, i see people all the time that i would leave cards. sometimes its just an icebreaker to have a card handy to make it easy to tell them info.

I don't think we need to worry too much about the actual club membership number. We have probably picked up most of the hard-core Fl people in the first year. Of course, it would be great if we could continue to increase at a rapid rate but, when renewals go out, we may lose some and actually decrease a little. As a long as we keep doing the right things, most members will stay and some new will slide in now and then.
In order to reward current members for soliciting new members we could do a membership award for existing club members who refer the greatest number of new members in a certain time frame. We could award it every six months at the meet for the previous six months. Maybe a first and second prize of a gift certificate to Lokey or something. $50.00 1st and $30.00 2nd. The only problem is that we need to track you refers who.

When I got back into Jax on Sunday I drove through the McDonald's drive thru and the guy there asked if I raced my car. He said his uncle had one and raced it a lot. So the only thing for me to do was to hand him one of the new good-looking business cards.
The So Fla Gs just aren't as hardcore. There's so much to do in this big city some people just don't have the time. There are actually 3 guys I talk to and/or see all the time who are barely on the forums, and who have made it to a meet maybe once, if that. I rarely see any modded Gs on the road either, but 350Z's with wheels and stuff are everywhere. If anyone in So Fla wants some club business cards, I'm bringing them to Towers this Friday so let me know.
