Anyone else go to the car show yet? I went this afternoon and enjoyed it a good deal. It was nice to see the new g35 in person... but yup the rear spoiler was ugly... as where the "bug bite" tail lights. I also enjoyed the mercedes, bmw, and lexus boothes. I was gonna take pics to share, but realized half way there that i had forgoten my camera and didnt want to go back and get it. In any case i thought it was alot of fun.

On a side note... one of you guys must have been there cuase someone left a fgc card on my window... who was that?

 

I went to the Tampa Car Show on Thursday night. Had a great time... I always like going to the car show. I took a few pictures... here's a couple that I thought were interesting.

The new G35 Projector Bi-Xenon headlight assemblies:

New Lexus SC430 convertible:



And check this out... The Lexus SC430 convertible has an Eclipse Navigation system. The hardware buttons were finished into the car's interior, but all the touch-screen controls were exactly like my Eclipse AVN5435. Exactly! Same maps and everything!



The new, fastback, 427 CI Z06 Corvette:



I thought the Z06 had one of the best dashboard layouts of any of the cars there. Lexus was a close second place, but the Z06 dash was spectacular!



And finally... the only car suitable for our beloved President, Neffster. It's a Maybock... I'm not actually sure how to spell it... but check it out... a recliner for a back seat... two of them actually... enough DVD displays to make anyone happy... dinner tables... heck even a cooler for Neff's beer... you gotta love it!

Wow nice pix. I love the dash of the zo6.... looks like it is just floating there.

The calipers on the BMW look rather agressive postioned forward like they are.

Thanks. I've never really been a Corvette person, but the new Z06 is a really sharp car. Hood and fenders are carbon fiber... It weighs 3100 pounds, has a 427 CI engine and runs the quarter mile in the elevens. Quite a car... and it looks much better with the fastback rear window.

Hmm...

The wheel in the photograph is from an M5 because BMW didn't have an M3 at the Tampa Car Show. I figured no one would know that it was from an M5.

Now you post back pictures of your car and it's an M5 too... I thought you got/were getting an M3? We are still desperately waiting for pictures of your new BMW M*... Last we heard from you you were waiting for a better computer to post pictures of your new car... now pictures of an M5 (in a car lot) get posted... but no Finiti M3... Hmm...

No pics of my M* and you guys won't be seeing her at the meet either. Stockness isn't picture worthy, and I can cry looking at my wheels (waiting for the "Finiti isn't happy with this car either" comments)

I thought that was you.... I was the one that put the club card on your door. I can't wait to have that exhaust on my car! Did you happen to drive through the short tunnel that ran parallel to the St. Pete Times Forum? I took 3 runs through there. I recorded 2 short videos too... But I bet with your exhuast, it would have sounded sick!

Great show. Awesome cars! I made the drive Friday morning. The reason why I chose to go to the Tampa show instead of the Orlando show was for this...
