$500 hurricane deduct RULES!!! right Todd?!!?

but I dont think they even offer that in SFL since you guys are more prone to damage from hurricanes

I did, and all they'd take care of is essential needs like food, shelter, etc. There's no damage to my place so yeah. They did give me an IRS number to call though, I'm about to call them up right now.

You are correct. If the claim won't surpass the deductible, then don't even call to ask about it, much less make a claim. If you make too many claims, you'll get dropped. Some, if not most, insurers consider the reporting of a loss to be a claim, even if it isn't covered or if it doesn't meet the deductible. The insurance agents and adjusters log every phone call and inquiry into the computer and can pull it up a long time from now.
