Does it bother anyone else?
That there are about 2,495,299,881,000 forums here? I have never been apart of any online forum that is so seperated and chopped up.. This forum is MINUSCULE compared to vwvortex.com, maxima.org, e46fanatics.com etc etc and yet we have more sub-divisions of forums than any of these.
I guess this post is more for the suggestion area of this site, but I just figured I would rant in here and see if I am alone in this.
A perfect example: I am getting this rotor upgrade and first created a post in the General G35 Coupe section because it was to gauge interest and I was trying to get an idea on pricing and demand. It got moved to Wheels/Brakes/Suspension; okay, kind of narrowing the audience, but I will live with it. Now, it is in it's own forum "Brakes/Suspension." How are you every supposed to gauge interest in things or get something out on the table if you close the audience gap greatly? I could always do the classic "double post" and post a link, but I am not a huge fan and wouldn't be surprised if it got deleted.
Another example: If you post pictures of your car and all you have done are a set of wheels, it gets 'zapped' into the wheels gallery and is never to be found again.. I could understand if you are just showing pictures of the wheels in boxes or something, but if it is of the whole car, why not leave it out there for everyone to view? What is the point of seperating the forum so much? If anything, more posts need to be moderated into the OT section, not wheels, suspension, body kits and lighting..
Just my $0.02 - and this isn't my question of the week because apparently that one didn't fly too hot with J-rod!
