Official 2005 Central Florida Summer Meet (Supras)

Hey guys, I know I'm not a part of the Florida G Club but I was planning on driving down from Atlanta for one of the big Supra meets in Orlando. I dont know how often you guys meet but it'd be cool to meet some other G35 owners in the area. The shop just finished my APS TT install so if anyone would like to check it out or go for a ride I'd be more than willing. Heres some info on the Supra meet.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

June 25th (Saturday)
Dynoing at 8:30AM - everyone is done.
For those of you who aren't familiar with their facilities they are state of the art and by far the best around. No tuning will be offered through Aerocomp since this is a dyno day. Pricing will be $45 for 3 pulls without wideband on the dynojet (RWD) an extra $10 for wideband. Also $75 for 3 pulls without wideband on the mustang dyno (AWD). Please bring cash for payment. It should be awesome sitting in the AC eating a burger watching 2 cars dyno at the same time! 10 spots will be open for each dyno, and feel free to invite you AWD friends too.
Please call Curt or Hector at Aerocomp 407-330-7300 and put down a $25 deposit. Will be refunded is you cancel 48 hours ahead of time.
Aerocomp Racing
4205 St. Johns Parkway
Sanford, FL 32771
Tel: (407) 509-7777
Website: http://www.aerocompracing.com/

After the dyno we are most likely going to head over to either Hooters or Wing Shack on 436 to get some food and hang out.

Fuel ****: The Corner
Then we will have some time to kill before the normal Saturday night Orange and 50 festivities go down at around starting between 10-11PM.

Oh yeah, check out IMVFilms.com to get an idea of what goes on.

If I'm available when you come down, sign me up for the first ride. Oh yeah, "shot gun".

I'll have dyno numbers tomorrow, a convertible 350Z at the same shop is hitting 10psi and making 421whp with test pipes and stillen exhaust. I have test pipes, nismo exhaust and an aftermarket clutch so it will be interesting.

Are you going to boost it past the 8psi box tune? I bet you can't wait to get it back....congrats!

Azn, they're going to be making another video this year as well from what I hear. They have a movie that is available and it is by far the best video I've seen for what it is, very high quality.

GMan, hopefully I can get 8psi with the modifications I have. The APS kit is really strange, especially with this 12psi limit that they were not up front about. Z1 doesn't understand why the convertible is hitting 10psi while Charles (phunk) can barely hit 9psi with the same kit. Also a couple of the kits they have installed are running pretty lean, I think the convertible is hitting over 14 to 1 a/f ratio in the higher RPM's.

APS pushes that the stock tune is mod friendly but they have the ability to tune for each modification while us in the states are *** out. At any rate, if you guys have a weekly meet or hangout let me know, I'd love to stop by.

From what I hear, you're not the only one who's pissed off about the 12psi LIE that APS told (by omission).

Also, 10 psi should be high 400's with the right tune and set up. I'm not so sure that APS is all it's cracked up to be and I was really interested in their ST kit too. (there goes that surprise).

That is good news for the people who either plan on building later on or haven't installed their kit already. But for those of us who already installed the kit we have to shell out even more money to hit over 12psi. Its kind of like we are the guinea pigs right now to see who will blow their motor and why, APS has more control over their kit than the actual owners do.

I guess with APS and Greddy you have to decide which is the less of the two evils, I like the peace of mind that comes with the APS system and I'm sure I'll be happy with the power it will be putting down for now, but when its time to bump up the power I have to go back to them and buy actuators, remove the engine to remove the turbos, and bigger injectors? I cant even seem to get a 93 octane map from them right now. *rant off*

Tony, That sucks and I'm pissed off that a 'reputable company' like APS would be doing something like this...

I've been looking to beat on some Supras and I'd get a F/I G35 also? Maybe I'll go.

Business wise it is very smart. APS is capitalizing on all the engine castrophies from other FI companies in the industry. They set there kits up so it is fool proof safe which is very marketable for the G35/350z community.
