I need help with a purchase proposal!
I need help with a purchase proposal!
I'll try to keep this short and simple:
I'm a new guy to the board, and I've made a proposal to purchase an 05 G35 Coupe from Orlando Infiniti. My only options are the 18" wheel package and splash guards($850 options?)
The invoice I got from numerous websites is $29801 (dealership says $30952 including the options I wanted!).
The dealership says the tax is 7% for my county(Seminole)...2 seperate sources I checked said the first $5000 is @7%/balance is @6%).
The dealership is adding an additional #399 for Administrative Fee(re:OVERHEAD FOR STAFF!)....should I pay this or is it a common practice?
My question on the "invoice" is if they add the options to normal "invoice" and then get 3% over that....aren't they, in effect, getting profit on their "retail" and not "invoice" for the options! Isn't this double dipping?
I know these figure differnces may sound like a small amount on a $32,000+ car but I want to make sure I make a fair offer for both parties...some of this seems like "fuzzy math"!
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated....even letting me know what you would/have offered for the same purchase!
Thanks!
John

I was thinking of offering $34679 and seeing if they'd accept that.(taking off the %*&^ $400 Admin. Fee!)
I'm wondering if I could do THAT much better by going to Lokey!
BTW...the financiing is already in place!

welcome to the club.

Make sure you join FGC as a premier member and talk to John O before you call anyone from Lokey, you will forever regret not buying from Lokey, cause when they say $500 over invoice, thats exactly what you get. And i never heard of a administrative fee, sounds like bull.
Man, I would buy my car from Lokey over and over again! I bought it in 30 min (15 of which were waiting in the lobby) and I got to pick it up at our first FGC meet, in front of 50 other Gs, the feeling is unbelievable. Orlando Infiniti might match Lokey's price (which I doubt), but they can never match the treatment and experience you get at Lokey
the admin fee is normal...Lokey actually sells cars at $16 under invoice then charges a $499 mandatory fee plus another $17 fee...equaling $500 over invoice.
ur looking at 31,400 + $110 to join FGC as premier member and buying through one of the top10 dealers in the country
versus $35k and buying through the dealership that not one person on this forum has praised.

^^^exactly, i've never heard a single good thing about this dealership in orlando or hardly any other infiniti dealership in FL except for Lokey, which has gotten nothing but excellent review from everyone who has stepped a foot in there.

I"m getting a wierd feeling about this post. If you are really serious about buying a new Infiniti (sans the M45) read these two links...
(1) What you need to do to get $500 over invoice just like the 10 or so other Florida G35 Club Members have already done.
(2) The Official $500 over invoice offer from Lokey Infiniti
These two threads alone give you all the info you'll need to get the BEST DEAL POSSIBLE on a new Infiniti.
Please post back with questions and/or comments.
