business card idea???
what ever happened to the florida g35 club business card idea? did anyone ever come up with a finished product for a design? the reason why i bring this topic up again is, i keeping running into g35 drivers at work and mention the site and club...but i dont know if thats enough to get them to come take a look at our site. in the past 2 weekends at work (valet at mall at millenia in orlando), ive mentioned the site to 4 g35 drivers. they seem interested, but im sure they dont put visiting our site as a #1 priority. if i had a card about the fg35c, they would maybe want to take a look at our site whenever they get a chance.
First off, I'm not sure it should be referred to as a business card. I think it should be referred to as a "club card".
Secondly, Dabomb is right (for once
). I made a 3 minute template just to throw out an idea and asked for ANYONE to run with the idea and to re-post the card to get g8tor20's final approval (got to run it by the lawyer
).
Anyway, not one person took the time (maybe 10-15 minutes) to come up with anything so I dropped it.
In the meantime, Wes, Ian and I have G35driver cards that Russ ("meatslinger" or something like that
) made up several years ago. We just write our screen name on the back and write the club website on them as well. This is how we recruited G35lips!
If you or anyone wants to whip up a card idea, go ahead. DO NOT HAND IT OUT WITHOUT PRIOR CONSENT FROM THE CORPORATIONS LAWYER!!!

I personally think you should leave the back black as Russ did. This leaves room for you to write you screen name or phone number (if its a hot chick) or whatever!!!
If you have Word you can go online and download hundreds of templates and put the info in them. Also, word lets you make your own templates from scratch as well.
I think this was refering to my comment and NO i was not being the slightest bit personal. I think 5-10 members have talked about this. I would like club members to feel involved plus it would help take some of the duties off of Todd, Ian, and I.

I like this template though I think g35driver.com should be on there too, even though the forum is linked on the club website. It's normal for people to have a couple of questions before they decide to join. Today I had a dropped DG coupe on 19" next to me getting on the Palmetto, I wish I had a card to hand him

what about having as many people as possible create their own templates and bring them to the meet march 5th? there, we could decide on a final template and have whomever take the template home and produce the cards?
I'd prefer that we do it online. This way we can have Jason review the cards before people print them out and are tempted to hand them out.
Remember this is a corporation and distributing our logo without prior consent is illegal!
Always want to run things by the club lawyer first.
Also, I like DiamondGCoupes idea of having space for our Screen Name and phone number. I think having the back of the card blank would allow people to add this information on a template and then print it out with a two-sided color printer.
We could always have a link to a free "business card" website and just have people use our club card template in the websites format. This would allow people to "edit" the back of the card and add their screen name, phone number, etc...
Good ideas, but w/o having anyone post them in the form of a business card, we're still just as far away from having a club card as we always were.
