Post Clear Bra Installation/ Advice.

OK, first off, I'm new to the forums, and I couldnt find this thread for FL, so here it is.

I got my coupe in January, and I travel a lot on the highway, and the other day, when I was washing my car, I noticed I had a bunch of dings and scratches from the road. (Which by the way, I'm very upset about) Anyway, the only two options I can think of to prevent any further damage to my paint are to put either a regular black bra on my car, or a clear bra. I dont like the black bra, so I am considering a clear bra.

Now, my question is, does anyone know where I can get a good price & quality installation for the clear bra in the MIAMI AREA???? (If I buy it, it will need someone to install it for me)

Or

Does anyone have any other advice as far as what I can do for my car?

Thanks guys!

Welcome and congrats on the new car, any pics you care to share with us.? Try not to let some of the guys here scare you off, as some get carried away.

You can check this out http://invincaman.com/ . I'm not sure if they're still a sponser of the FGC, but for members of the FGC they had a 10% discount, plus he can go to your house and install for you. I'm not sure if he has a certain distance for travel, but you can always check them out. From what i''ve heard he does a great job.

Welcome to our forums! I'd follow AFlitch's advice and give Allan Selligman/Invincaman a call or e-mail. Tell him Ian Burias from the Florida G35 Club recommended you. Allan clear bra'd my car and I'm happy with the results and professional installation. And it didn't hurt that he was a nice guy too.

As for nicks or dings in your bumper...the only real way to get rid of them is to either have your front bumper repainted or buy some touch up paint and a Langka kit and patch up the nicks scratches yourself. If you have a diamond graphite car, using the touch up paint will be hard to match up with your factory paint on your car.

thanks guys for the advice, I appreciate it. I really don't want to mess with the factory paint becuase I'm afraid I'll mess it up even worse. lol. And I highly doubt I'll have it professionally repainted cuz I already dropped a lot of money on the car itself. And I'm gonna be getting tints and rims soon.

Oh yeah, one more question, Does the clear bra affect how the paint fades on the car? Lets say I have it on my car for a year or so, will the paint underneath the clear bra fade differently than the rest of the car?

But anyway, I'll definetly post some pictures up as soon as I take some good ones.

Thanks!

almost 2 years on my car and there is no difference in the paint. if you look from the front, you can barely see it. you can ask the other guys what they think as they've all seen my car. heres some pics for reference...

i had crap loads of chips on my front bumper stock, and Nismo. I think its all the construction going on. I just got touch up paint and it works pretty dang good. Personally i would bother with the clear bra I would just suck it up then every year get the thing repainted.

If you do get one (I recommend them), make sure the guy who installs it, had done quite a few. My guy had not and it shows.

thanks. and yes, i agree with texas. mine has a couple small bubbles that are hardly noticeable because of all the curves on our car. but it can look a lot worse if someone doesnt know what they're doing.

ok thanks. When I buy the clear bra, I'll probably give Invincaman a call. From what I can see, he's had experience. I was going to try and do it myself, but I'm lazy, so thats not going to work out well, plus I'll probably do a crappy job. Anyway, thanks for the advice!
