You got food poisoning at Wendys?! Thanks for the recommendation lol. I'm glad my brother and i are okay, we got a lot of food, doing good so far....

Hey Jon i was at full throttle when you blew passed me lol. As soon as you got a car ahead i let off to stare in amazement haha, it was fun though. I got ahead and was wondering if you were toying with me and letting me get ahead before you punched it, once it hit boost you were a screaming rocket.

Whats up guys, I had a good time at the Performance Factory dyno day. Thanks to Jeremy and Matt for working hard all day to get everyone on the dyno, these guys are real enthusiasts and I look forward to attending another event at Performance Factory in the future.

Now, on to the results...

Mods:
JWT popcharger/Z-tube
Crawford Plenum
MREV 2
HKS exhaust

I made 260rwhp and about 464rwtq , The torque curve is messed up, but toward the middle of the graph, where it appears to be normal, it peaks at about 247rwtq

nice results!...are u AT or MT? I have the mrev and spacer for my 6mt sedan and i had 246rwhp dont remember what torque was i will post the graph tomorrow. did u happen to also do the A/F ratio? i have been thinking of swapping or keeping the mrev for a different upper plenum just kind of unsure i guess. i was running a little lean so i see technosquare or a utec in the near future!

Thanks, I'm 6MT and no i havent done anything with my A/F. I was pretty surprised that the MREV and crawford plenum worked good with my setup but had worse results with yours, I cant see how the spacer is significantly different from the crawford, but good luck and I hope you figure it all out.

that exhaust doesnt flow very good.

damn ryan, hmmm... i know that pulleys, if you dont have them, are worth a few, that will give you over 260, then headers would be the next step (if you dont have them, i dont think that you do)

then with the 287 motor, you kinda hit a wall, i am thinking that a overbored throttle body, 200 dollars, plus a larger maf housing, and a bored out plenum neck would net you at least 10 hp if done correctly.

if you had lighter wheels on there it would help as well.

a clutch and flywheel is something you will need later and will also help out a lot!!

just a few ideas for you

I laid on it at the third honk... lag... then its like hang on. When I passed you I was at like 120 and I shut down at 130 lol. The car is fast, but it can be caught outside its of its power band pretty easy. So its either go from a slower speed in like 3rd gear high rpm, or go from like 4th around 90mph and up and the boost is there right away.

I just wanted to see what would happen

stock i dyno'd 224 hp/218 tq in st louis. with a crawford plenum, injen cai and injen ses i put down 235hp/223 tq. i think my heavy wheels are hurting me a little but that comes out to 295 crank hp right now. i told dan im tempted to go buy hfc's or test pipes just to say i have a 300hp car. that or i could have bought a 6mt haha.

sick numbers out of matt, jb and ryan. its cool to say n/a g's putting down that much. it really shows when you guys take off on the highway and i barely hang with you.

i didnt get a chance to watch jon's dyno but chris' car was a beast. now the rest of us have something to shoot for.

edit: oh and i still cant give enough thanks to jeremy and matt for putting up with us all day and night. im getting jeremy a set of busch garden tickets when my 2007 set comes in and i can do the same for matt. just a small show of thanks from the fgc. you guys were awesome!

I logged several of my runs using Cipher. I thought some of you might be interested in the data gathered during my dyno runs on Sunday. The graph below is from my second run. The horsepower rating was 254.31 on that run.

This is a busy screen, but you can glean a lot of information bu looking at all the data and the relationships between some of the data. Cipher monitors and logs many more parameters than I have shown here. These are the ones that I wanted to see from the dyno session. (You can only select parameters that were logged during the actual session.)

The top pane contains the exact data in text (actually CSV) form. It is useful to determine exactly what the readings are in the graphs below. The cyan vertical line is like a cursor... Click on one of the graphs and the point you click on scrolls and is highlighted in the top data window.

I grouped the data for the three graphical windows so it made sense to me. The top pane is all related to the car, Ignition Timing, Throttle Position, and Vehicle Speed.

The second pane shows the two OEM A/F sensors, Air Fuel Ratio WB B1, and AFR WB B2, and their readouts throughout the duration of the log.

The bottom pane show several different temperatures, Coolant Temperature, Engine Oil Temperature, and Intake Air Temperature.

So, what can we learn from this information? One of my main reasons for purchasing Cipher was to see what my A/F ratio and timing were during WOT (wide open throttle). I placed the cyan cursor on what looked like the leanest A/F ratio in this run. You can see in the data above, that the two A/F sensors read 13.62 and 13.83. If I place the cursor at the lowest (richest) position of the graph during WOT, the readings are 12.40 and 12.81. So, the A/F was between 13.83 and 12.40 during the WOT portion of my run.

It also seems interesting to me that the intake air temperature started dropping during the run. Maybe Matt moved one of the fans in front of the car at that point?

Interesting that the timing never pegs at full advance during the WOT portion of the run. I'm used to setting the timing at full advance for WOT. I'm not sure if that can be done with my current setup.

What does that mean? I'll tell you what I think it means, but leave room for Jeremy to correct me if I am off a bit. I think it is certainly rich enough for the two additional degrees of timing I added with Cipher. I think it might add a bit more power to lean things out a bit, but I'm not sure how much. It seems like bumping the timing beyond the two degrees that Cipher can do might help too.

There is no way to change the A/F ratio with my current setup. Cipher can bump the timing up and down, and a few other things, but it can't change the A/F ratio. Maybe there will be a UTEC in my future... A UTEC along with Jeremy's tuning capabilities sure helped Ryan's G...

yeah, i am glad we dynoed the cipher, maybe the timing portion doesnt work with it, kinda sucks cause if you asked me, that and the idle raise would be just about all i would want with it.

i would call uprev if i were you jb and ask them, so you know, most piggybacks datalog stuff just like that for you.
