What's your cell phone service?
My 2-year plan with AT&T is finally ending September 27. I cannot wait. Ever since everything was switched over to Cingular, my phone constantly drops calls, has no service, etc. I know this has something to do with the crappy phone that I have....but I can't see dropping $100 on a phone, when I'll be getting a new plan in a month. I currently pay about $95/month for an AT&T family plan with 1200 minutes with free N/W starting at 7pm. I'm looking for a similar plan, but with less minutes.
I had T-Mobile before AT&T and I never had any problems. Before that, I had Verizon and they were absolutely horrible. I know a lot of stuff has changed in the past 5 years, so I need to know your opinions.
So my question for you all is what service do you have? What are your opinions on the service and their customer service?

i have a Sprint Pocket PC
about $90/month with taxes
1100minutes, unlimited text messaging, unlimited internet activity, unlimited everything...N/W are 7p-7a
but that was on a special...now for the same price and same services u can only get about 700minutes because I tried to lower my price by lower my minutes and 700 minutes was actually a couple bux more.

I use a Treo 700p and Motorola Q on Verizon. I have used VZW for 6 years now and do not have one complaint. I have been on business trips carrying my phone and my TMobile work phone (previous job), had a coworker with his TMobile and personal Cingular phone, and my Verizon was the only was that worked anytime we were in between buildings or away from the main roads.
If you never go anywhere one is just as good as another, but if you travel (within the US and Canada) you cannot beat Verizon's service foot print.
I pay $109 + taxes per month for 1300 anytime minutes, unlimited Verizon to Verizon calls, unlim w/n, 250 text messages and unlimited data (email, SMS, web browsing). Withouth the data plan the 1300 min (nationwide) plan is $79 if I'm not mistaken.

Verizon is the best hands down, i had it for almost 5yrs i had no problem what so, ever. The only bad part about Verizon is there hand set suck, in another words they don't offer all type of hand set like other companies. Recently i switched to T-mobile & to be honest there service is not that bad at all.
I have a PPC 6700 from sprint with 500 minutes w/free incoming calls (59.99) unlimited internet (10.00) and insurance (6.00) and with taxes and all it comes out to about the 95.00 you pay.
In my opinion its more than worth it....now if you dont want that phone there are plenty others from sprint like the a900 which are also kick ***.
This is where i bought mine...its a sprint discount store (really sprint not a dealer)
http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQ...Zsprintnetwork
The deal here is that they have to run your credit, sign a 2 year, and you must have a 59.99 plan for a month....plain and simple, you receive your phone the next day activated and ready to roll....no rebate forms to fill out or anything, its all discounted in your first bill....
so if you want check it out, Im speaking from personal experience, this is the real deal.
good luck

like i said, i got a miraculous deal...sprint service is good too, everywhere except my house, but its a new development and is getting better
I have Cingular since the AT&T switch (At&T for 5 years prior). I pay about $110 a month for 1,200 anywhere minutes, unlimited internet, 200 text, n/w coverage from 7p-7a.
I actually travel to Central and South America, the Carribean and Mexico a lot. I can add those countries to my package even for single month at a time (like $4.99 an area). I never have problems with their service or call issues other than one spot on our infamous 3 miles bridge. Otherwise, it works great. I do have Motorola MPX220 which is a pretty good phone, though...

sprint - 300 mins base with free 7pm-7am - $35. fair and flexible plan adjusts if i go over like $5/100 mins. unlimited texting - $15/mth. been with sprint over 5 years and been very happy with service. only times i ever lose connection is the middle of nowhere or any thick metal roofed buildings.
