U forgot to mention your heavy foot. Wes got the same tires as u and he didn't mention any understeer problems or he just kept that to himself.

wes was behind me so he could only go as fast as i could go

so if i was understeering i had to slow down thus making wes slow down enough to where he wouldnt understeer.

i can also get these tires to spin on the street with little effort

Several of you mentioned an interest in sway bars. There's a good thread in the Suspension section (it's a sticky).

http://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55776

I also found an article on suspension that seemed accurate and had a lot of good information in it. The main part of the article is on front wheel drive cars, but most of the information applies to rear wheel drive cars too.

If you don't want to read the whole article, just skip down to the table titled "Suspension Adjustment." It has some good information on how different suspension adjustments (like springs and sway bars) affect vehicle stability.

The last time one of the members had a rattling noise after a suspension install, it was caused by a broken bolt holding the strut to the car.

back on the topic of the thread, yes, Tein is releasing a new coilover, the Monoflex. it's supposed to have all the features of the existing Flex but with a monotube design and will be geared to the street or basic competition. release is in july according to Tein.

I am most interested in the Basics, possibly the Flex, but not the CS. And I don't think I'm interested in the EDFC tuning. I would like to know for sure if the Basics are linear or progressive. I've heard people say either way, but the Tein site doesn't say.

You are the only person I know that has Tein Basics. Are you still happy with them?
_jb i've had the basics for about 1 1/2 yrs and love them. The spring rates are progressive on them and i have them matched with the hotchkis sways. I'm running full stiff front and med in the rear for my set up and that balances the ride for me nicely. The sways went on a week later and boy did they make a huge difference. At the time of the purchase, the hotchkis were the only sway on the market with 3 way adjustability front and rear. I believe Stillen's is 3 way adjustable now for front and rear as well, not sure on that. Sorry i've been out of the loop for a while, hope everyone is doing well and when is the next meet? The car is fixed now.
